So what are we doing here? We are attempting to tame the absolute monstrosity that is cloud provider service catalogs. Have you ever had an app, built into a docker image, and you just want to allow other people to take a look and give you some feedback, only to spend 2 weeks sorting out which vm to run it on, which database service to use, registries, deployments, secrets, TLS, routing, firewalls, etc... Our vision is that every developer has the ability to maintain their environment and deploy what ever they would like there. Which means we can't have fine grained services that each do the same thing but slightly different we can't have complex networking requirements, and the runtime should be flexible.
