So what are we doing here? We are attempting to tame the absolute monstrosity that is cloud provider service catalogs. Have you ever had an app, built into a Docker image, and just wanted to allow other people to take a look and give you some feedback, only to spend two weeks sorting out which VM to run it on, which database service to use, registries, deployments, secrets, TLS, routing, firewalls, and so on? Our vision is that every developer has the ability to maintain their environment and deploy whatever they need. This means we avoid redundant microservices, complex networking rules, and rigid runtimes in favor of a flexible and simple system.
